Affiliate disclosure

SpoolQuote is free because some links on the site may earn us a commission when you buy something. You never pay more. Commissions never change a calculator, a default or a ranking.

How we earn money

Some links to printers, filament and accessories may be affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer may pay Bockius Ventures LLC a commission. The price you pay is the same as if you went to the retailer directly. We follow the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255).

Programs we work with

This table shows every affiliate program we use or have applied to, and its status today. We update it whenever a status changes.

Amazon: once we're accepted into the Amazon Associates Program, this statement applies: As an Amazon Associate, SpoolQuote earns from qualifying purchases.

Until a program is joined, links to that retailer are ordinary links and earn nothing.

How links are labeled

A short disclosure runs at the top of every page. In addition, each affiliate link is marked "affiliate link" right next to it, before you click, and pages that contain affiliate links say so near the first one. Affiliate links carry rel="sponsored" so search engines can tell them apart. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be labeled "Sponsored" at the top.

Independence

Retailers and affiliate networks don't pay for placement, can't see pages before they're published and have no say in our numbers. Calculator defaults come from cited public sources or are labeled as examples. When a product appears in a table, it's there because published data exists for it, not because of a commission rate.

No reviews or testing claims

We don't publish product reviews, star ratings or testimonials, and we don't claim to have tested products we haven't tested. Benchmark figures come from manufacturers' published specifications and are labeled with their source and date. We don't accept free products in exchange for coverage; if that ever changes, we'll disclose it on the page.
