Print-time planner: when will this batch be done?

Your slicer tells you how long one plate takes. This works out the whole order: how many plates, which printer runs what, and when the last part comes off the bed, given the hours someone is around to clear plates.

Plate schedule

Each plate starts on the first free printer, as soon as someone is available to clear the bed. A plate can run past the end of the day; the next one waits for the morning.

How this is calculated

  1. Plates = parts needed ÷ parts per plate, rounded up. The last plate may carry spares.
  2. Print time per plate = slicer time × (1 + adjustment). The changeover is added after each plate, before that printer can start the next one, so "Done" is when the print finishes.
  3. Scheduling: plates go one at a time to whichever printer is free first. A plate can only start inside the hours someone is available; if a printer frees up overnight, its next plate starts at the next opening. Printing itself continues unattended.
  4. Utilization = printing hours ÷ (printers × elapsed hours).
  5. Not modeled: failed plates (add them to parts needed), filament swaps, maintenance stops, weekends off.

This tool uses no outside data. Slicer estimates often differ from real print times; the adjustment field exists so you can enter the difference you have measured on your own printers. The 5% default is an example, not a typical value.
