Privacy policy
Short version: the calculators run in your browser and we never see what you type. We use Google Analytics to count visits: in the U.S. it's on unless you opt out; in Europe, the UK, Switzerland and elsewhere it runs only if you allow it. We don't sell or share personal information, and we don't run ads.

What you type into the calculators
Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are not sent to us or to anyone else.
The quote builder saves your current quote (shop name, customer name, parts and rates), and the Etsy pricing page saves any price list you choose to save, in your browser's local storage, so it's still there when you come back. That data stays on your device. Use "Reset to example" in the quote builder or "Clear list" on the Etsy pricing page, or clear your browser's site data, to delete it.
Analytics and consent
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC, to count visits and see which tools people use. Whether it runs by default depends on where you are.
- United States (including U.S. territories): Google Analytics is on by default. You can opt out at any time with the "Opt out of analytics" link in the footer of every page, or with the control below.
- European Union and EEA, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and everywhere else: Google Analytics runs only if you click "Allow analytics". Until then your browser makes no request to Google Analytics and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out wherever you are, and Google Analytics doesn't run.
How we know where you are. Before anything is sent to Google, the page asks our own server for your country. The server returns only a two-letter country code, which Cloudflare derives from your IP address as it delivers the page. We don't store that code on our server or send it to Google; your browser keeps it for the current session only. If the country can't be determined, we use the opt-in setting.
What Google Analytics collects when it runs: pages viewed, how you arrived (for example a search engine or an AI assistant), approximate location (country and city derived from your IP address), device type, browser and screen size. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We use Google Consent Mode with advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalization always denied, and we turn off Google signals and ad personalization. We keep analytics data for 14 months, then Google deletes it.
Opting out stops Google Analytics on this site in that browser and deletes its cookies. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage; if you clear site data, you'll need to opt out again, or use Global Privacy Control so the choice is sent automatically.
"Do Not Track" browser setting. The older Do Not Track setting is not a recognized standard, and we don't change how the site behaves when a browser sends it. Global Privacy Control, described above, is honored.
Your analytics setting
Your current analytics setting appears here. If you see this text, JavaScript is off, and Google Analytics can't run without it.

Hosting and security
The site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. To deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes your IP address, browser details and the pages requested, and may set strictly necessary security cookies (for example, to tell people from bots). We don't use Cloudflare to build visitor profiles. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
If you email [email protected], we receive your address and message. Mail to that address is routed by Cloudflare Email Routing to our inbox. We use it only to reply and to fix what you report, and we delete correspondence when it's no longer needed, normally within 24 months. We don't add you to any mailing list.
Links, retailers and affiliate programs
Some links may go to retailers through affiliate programs (see our affiliate disclosure). When you click one, the retailer or affiliate network may set its own cookies to credit the referral. Their privacy policies apply on their sites. We receive aggregate reports of clicks and sales, not your identity.

We don't use advertising cookies. If we ever add display ads, we'll update this policy and ask for consent first where the law requires it.
Selling and sharing
We don't sell personal information and don't share it for targeted advertising. We share data only with the service providers above (Google for analytics, as described above, Cloudflare for hosting and email routing), or when the law requires it.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (for example California, Texas, other U.S. states, the EU or the UK), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct or delete it, and to opt out of sale or targeted advertising (we do neither). You can opt out of analytics with the control in the analytics section or with Global Privacy Control. Email [email protected] and we'll answer within 45 days. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.
Children
SpoolQuote is meant for adults running a print business or hobby. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the effective date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we'll say so on this page before it takes effect.
